HOUSING FOR SENIORS AND SENIOR VETERANS

OVERVIEW

ABOUT

Mercy Housing California (MHC) and CTY Housing are proposing to develop 82 homes for seniors (age 55 and older) with low incomes and senior veterans that have experienced homelessness. The development is located at 300 Alamitos, at the northeast corner of Alamitos Avenue and Third Street. Located within a 5-minute walk to downtown Long Beach, the proposed development will create affordable homes in proximity to high-quality transit and a living environment that is safe, vibrant, and creates a strong sense of community. Amenities will include a large open space courtyard and recreation area, an indoor lounge and community space, onsite property management, and resident services programming with dedicated staff.  Finally, the site is central to public transit, grocery stores, museums, a senior center, and public parks.
